Who is Doctor Von?

Rarely seen in public, the Doctor has been known to 'persuade' fellow runners into joining him on training runs of 'average' distance and 'minimal' elevation, with the reassuring words 'trust me' as comfort. He can also be found talking tired runners into even 'bigger' and 'better' races within minutes of them crossing the line of an event that has just tested their stamina and resolve to the limit.
